Abstract

Grab structure performance will directly affect the reliability of the crane work. In this paper, we completed the structural design of the tower crane grab components, and analyzed the grab by finite element method in the most dangerous conditions. So The stress, strain and deformation value of the condition are obtained. Finding out the position of the grab most prone to damage and the defects of structure design by the results of the analysis, and optimizing its structure to get a reliable and lightweight structure of the grab.
