Abstract
Using universal nano-micro-macro material tester, the friction coefficient of disk surfaces with transverse-texture was measured under conditions of light load. The complete Stribeck curve, spanning hydrodynamic, mixed and boundary lubrication, was obtained. The influence of load and time on the experiment was considered. And the comparison of the Stribeck curves of the different roughness surfaces was conducted. The preliminary results show; the increment of the load and the duration time benefits to the stability of the experiment; the more a surface is rough, the more the critical speed from mixed to hydrodynamic lubrication is large; the more a surface is smooth, the more the valley of the Stribeck curve is obvious.
