Abstract
An experimental investigation was carried out here to study the dynamic response of two double-walled cylindrical explosion vessels with flat heads to the blast loading produced by the detonation of a solid explosive centrally positioned within the vessels. The effects of pressure of air contained originally in the vessel and structure of interior vessel on the elastoplastic response of the vessels were studied. Besides, the feasibility of using flat head structure for explosion test was also discussed.
