Abstract

To get the attitude of an experimental missile, a scheme to estimating the flight attitude of a rolling missile based on the independent component analysis (ICA) algorithm is proposed, thus offering a basis for further analysis on the flight dynamics performances and effectiveness of control and guide systems. A telemetry scheme based on two-axis liquid-droved rate gyroscope is studied and the telemetric data are processed by ICA algorithm to reconstruct the attitude of missiles. By constructing a special virtual measure variable, the ICA algorithm is introduced to transform the measure signals from body frame to quasi-body frame and the modulated effect caused by the rolling of missile body is removed. Thus the attitude information of rolling missiles would be obtained in the end. The simulation example shows the effectiveness of the proposed algorithm.
