Abstract

The sulfonated cobalt phthalocyanine have been used as additives of metal hydride electrode in Ni-MH battery. The effects of the properties of Ni-MH battery were studied and compared with that of cobalt phthalocyanine. Batteries with three percent of the sulfonated cobaltphthalocyanine in metal hydride electrode have excellent performances such as higher discharge voltage. They were three-quarter capacity when charged/discharged at 1C rate and 300 cycles.
