Abstract
Effects of Cobalt phthalocyanine (CoPc) as electrochemical catalyst on the performance of MH/Ni batteries were examined. Experimental results showed that CoPc with appropriate adding mode can reduce the increasing speed of inner pressure and restrain the pulverization of the hydrogen storage alloy, the charge/discharge efficiency is increased. The curves of their inner pressure, the capacity attenuation, the discharge voltage and capacity at high current were compared. The performance of batteries with CoPc can be improved.
