Abstract
Based on the different edge features of micro accessory under different machining process, a new edge detecting algorithm based on process matching was proposed. The new algorithm got the transition region of micro accessory by calculating effective average gradient. Then the polynomial regression mathematics model of transition region image was built and the accurate position was definited by derivating. Analyzing four common micro-machining models shows that the machining process has greater influence on the edge of micro accessory and the edge detection of micro accessory should consider the influence of process matching. The processing condition and statistics were added in the algorithm. The edge detection result can reach the inferior pixel level by building the mathematics model of transition region.
