Abstract

To solve the address format heterogeneousness problem of spaceflight information networks, a border gateway protocol was proposed based on address mapping, capability negotiation and message expansion. An inter-domain routing protocol expansion method was used to simulate heterogeneous networks coupling process and the details of address mapping, capability negotiation and message expansion were designed. A new capability value for BeiDou navigation satellite system was used successfully in compatible BGP router. The final simulation results which extrapolated from neighbor tables and routing tables indicatesd the method could be used to interconnect heterogeneous networks. Having adopted identical border gateway protocol, the limit to the one-to-one conversion gateway is released and the gateway's application range is extended.
