Abstract

Recently, metasurfaces are widely applied in different fields and emerge as a versatile platform for wavefront shaping. For further application, tunable metasurface devices are highly desired. Here, a deflectable focusing metalens based on Moiré structure is proposed. It consists of two cascaded metasurfaces with amorphous silicon nano-pillars on silica substrates. The deflection angle can be continuously tuned by the mutual rotation of the metasurfaces. According to the simulation results, the deflection angle can be tuned in a large range (−30°–30°) at 810 nm. It is predicted that the design may have a great application prospect in the alignments of metasurface-based optical systems.
