Abstract
In this paper, a kind of double-layer microstrip antenna is designed. It overcomes main shortcoming of general microstrip patch antenna with narrow SWR bandwidth. On dielectric-slabs with same permittivity and thickness, it's SWR bandwidth is wider than general microstrip patch antenna over 50%. Meanwhile, it is easy for fabrication and applicable to requirements of low profile, wideband. Using HFSS simulation software, according to the set size, the antenna is simulated. The computer simulation results show that the antenna can realize wideband characters.
