Abstract

A stepped chirp signal bandwidth synthesis algorithm is proposed based on the multichannel sampling theory. The sub-band signals are viewed as the responses of a group of linear time-invariant (LTI) filters with a wideband chirp signal as the common input. The reconstruction is formulated both in the time and frequency domain using the multichannel sampling theorem. Simulation results show that the proposed method is able to suppress the paired echoes and improve the integrated sidelobe ratio in the high resolution range profile.
