Abstract

The application of sliding scattering centers induced by reflected waves in feature extraction has been investigated. The scattering center change with the line of sight of radar (LOS) and show distinguished feature in the time-frequency representations (TFR). The time-frequency signatures of the scattering center have been utilized to deduce the geometry and motion parameters of two streamlined targets. Simulation shows that the parameters are estimated with high accuracy. The scattering data used in simulations are computed by the well validated full-wave numerical method (FE-BI-MLFMA), and processed by the reassigned spectrogram (RSP).
