Abstract

In this paper, the applications of nanotechnology in capillary electrophoresis and microfuidic chip biomolecular electrophoresis are reviewed. The nanotechnology is used to improve separation effect by the nanomaterials of gold, silica, polymer, metal oxide and carbon nanotube, and the nanostructures including nanopillars and nanochannels. prepared by microelectromechanical (MEMS) technologies, chemical synthesis or self-assembly. The development trend of this field is also proposed.
