Abstract
The composite propellant with a solid content of 80% was prepared by using 3, 3'-bisazidomethyloxetane-3-azidomethyl-3'-methyloxetane (P (BAMO-r-AMMO)) random copolymer as the prepolymer. The minimum free energy method was used to calculate the energy of formulation for the propellant. The density, heat of detonation, Tg and mechanical properties were measured by interfacial tension meter, oxygen bomb calorimeter, DSC and static tensile test. The results show that its standard theoretical specific impulse reaches 275.43 s (10MPa), density is 1.7924 g/cm3 and heat of detonation is 6124 kJ/kg, Tg is -50.80°C, tensile strength is 1.24 MPa and breaking elongation is 21%, which are higher than that of hydroxyl-terminated polybutadiene (HTPB) based and glycidyl azide polymer (GAP) based composite propellant under the same formulation, having more excellent comprehensive performance than HTPB based and GAP based composite propellant.
