Analysis on encapsulation of tuning forks in quartz tuning fork gyroscope

Abstract

Encapsulation is a key technology of quartz tuning fork gyroscope. The performance of quartz tuning fork is influenced by encapsulation shell, encapsulation method and the fixation of forks. The simulation of encapsulation shell by finite element method is used as the choice reference of encapsulation shell. The stability of the performance of quartz tuning fork which is single point mounted is better. When the encapsulation mode is changed by opening or closing the cover of the encapsulation shell, the damp coefficient and quality factor of quartz tuning fork are changed evidently.
