Abstract

A key technology in designing hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) is how to control the multi-energy power unit. This paper developed a strategy of state shift to analyze the control mentioned. This strategy listed all the respectively independent states and then analyzed the shift from one state to another under any operation. Based on this strategy, this paper designed a multi-energy power unit for a double-axis, parallel, single clutched HEV and analyzed the control of starting, running and braking operations over a HEV. Finally, the paper simulated the control with Psat, a software specially used for HEV analysis. The simulation result indicated that this strategy was able to eliminate the difficulty of designing the management system of the HEV multi-energy power unit.
