Abstract

For the waste of detection time and false alarm time of the typical two-stage acquisition algorithm which is made up of matched filter as the front-end and sliding correlator as the backend, detected by M of N search detector, this paper proposes an improved two-stage acquisition algorithm that is made up of multi-coded matched filter as the front-end and improved M of N search detector as the authentication algorithm. It won't change the detection probability and false alarm probability compared with the typical two-stage acquisition algorithm, at the same time, it will reduce the dwell time on the acquisition module both in the front-end and back-end. This design is analyzed by Matlab including acquisition time of the front-end, detection time and false alarm penalty time of the back-end compared with the typical algorithm to show the superiority.
