Abstract

SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar) has a higher resolution, is widely used in scientific research, civil and military fields, the positioning accuracy of SAR remote sensing is one of the important indicators. Since the antenna phase centre is difficult to accurately measure in the laboratory, and the geometry model and system installation errors, POS frequencies far below the SAR radar frequency, leading POS acquired location data error exists. When airborne SAR airborne remote sensing, and now there is no one test method can locate POS data to do calibration. This paper summarizes a new ground test method for SAR, through ideal motion platform and track system achieve uniform motion in a straight line. Mounted on the axle, the encoder accurately measures the SAR moving distance, quantitative analysis of positioning accuracy of different error on POS, and help POS improve the positioning accuracy.
