Abstract

The cycle fuel injection quantity of electronic unit pump (EUP) is accurately measured by using EFS Instantaneous Mono-Injector Qualifier in the operation conditions of high, middle and low speeds. The test data of fuel injection quantity and injection pressure are analyzed to reveal the variation law of fuel injection quantity inconsistency and its main influencing factors. In addition, according to the fuel injection characteristics of EUP, corresponding injection pulse width correction coefficients are proposed. The results of verification test show that after the injection pulse widths are corrected, the inconsistency of fuel injection quantity greatly improves, with an over 50% improvement in some conditions, thus enhancing the operation stability of diesel engine to certain extent.
