Abstract

To describe the interaction between the structures and water during water-entry, an Euler-Lagrange coupling code was developed. The Eulerian finite different code was used to simulate the behave of fluid field which including the water and air. And the dynamic finite element code was used to calculate the response of structures. The problem of water entry of flat plate was caculated by the code, the numerical results were agreement with the analytical results and results from LS-DYNA3D. The code made in this paper can be used for the numerical simulation of water-entry.
