N2 - A transmitting array antenna for both long- and medium- range automotive radar application is proposed in this paper. The array antenna consists of six linear series-fed patch subarrays and a network based on substrate integrated waveguide (SIW). With adoption of the broadband self-compensating phase shifter, the antenna has a good performance in wide band. Simulation results show that impedance bandwidth is from 23.9GHz to 25.1GHz, the relative bandwidth with flat-shoulder pattern is 2%.
