Abstract

An adaptive terminal guidance law based on feedback linearization and model reference adaptive control is developed for intercepting maneuvering targets to cope with inaccurate parameters in relative motion equation. The nonlinear relative dynamics between the interceptor and the target is analyzed with the target accelerations viewed as unknown parameters. The guidance law is quite simple and exact information of the target acceleration can be left unknown. Numerical simulations showed that this guidance law can implement efficiently interception for uncertain maneuver.
