Abstract

A Triple Modular Redundant (TMR) control system achieves high reliability by replicating data and all processing at three independent nodes, so this control system is widely applied in many fields. Loongson Micro Computer Unite (MCU) is designed by The Institute of Computational Mathematics and Scientific/Engineering Computing of Chinese Academy of Sciences which hold property right of Loongson MCU. In this paper, performance of two foreign TMR systems are analyzed firstly, then a TMR control system basing on Loongson 2E chips to handle a single arbitrary node failure is designed. Method of signal vote and process of program synchronization is demonstrated by simple example with three input signals and one output signal.
