Abstract
In this paper according to the failure mechanism of the material along z-direction a strength model considering the bridging effect of fibers is established. The energy release rate is obtained for undebonding and slip debonding interfaces. We also evaluate the interface debonding stress and the material fracture strength which agrees well with experimental data.
