Abstract
To determine the feasibility of automatic control of hydro-mechanical variable transmissions, a single-parameter rigid automatic control model of hydro-mechanical variable transmissions was established. The ECU and relevant control software were developed. In prototype testing, PID control logic has been used and ideal control parameters obtained. Prototype of the hydro-mechanical variable transmission has been controlled automatically by ECU in testing.
