Abstract

A kind of network multimedia supervisory system is designed. The system composition structure and the software implementation technologies including streaming media transmission and Windows Socket technology are elaborated. Using streaming media, the browser/server (B/S) pattern and WMFSDK, the real-time gathering video is stored as the advanced streaming format (ASF) document, broadcasted and put into the streaming media server and issue at the same time. The client side only needs the Web browser as the user interface, and might implement remote control. Through actual test the system time delay proved short, and the real-time characteristics of the system shown to be fine.
