Abstract
Based on a visualization experimental study on the process of boiling bubble disappearance, assumptions of bubble disappearance are put forward, and a mathematical model for bubble disappearance is established and verified by tests. According to the features of the flow field in cylinder head and boiling bubbles, a control scheme for bubble vanishing is proposed to avoid the damage of components such as thermostat by bubbles. In the end a suggestion is made for suppressing bubble coalescence based on nucleation theory that the blowholes in cylinder head casting should be avoided.
