Abstract

In this paper, we investigate the performance of different blind adaptive array algorithms in aeronautical communication systems. A novel algorithm named least-squares spread despread constant modulus algorithm (LS-SDCMA) is developed. The performance of the novel algorithm is compared with that of the existing multitarget least-squares constant modulus algorithm (MT-LSCMA) in the practical case and in the ideal case. It is shown from simulations that this novel algorithm can outperform the other algorithms in all test situations, and the bit-error-rate (BER) performance in the two extreme cases, the En-Route scenario and the Parking scenario.
