abstract = "A non-conformal domain decomposition algorithm (DDA) of the hybrid finite element-boundary integral-multilevel fast multipole algorithm (FE-BI-MLFMA) is presented for computing electromagnetic scattering/radiation problems. The numerical performance of the presented non-conformal DDA-FE-BI-MLFMA is investigated for scattering/radiation problems comparing with its conformal version. Furthermore, a preconditioner is constructed to further accelerate convergence speed of this non-conformal DDA.",
