Abstract

Radio frequency (RF) domain cancellation is a necessary process to mitigate self-interference (SI) for Full-Duplex (FD) wireless communication systems. Multi-taps RF canceller is designed for accurately reconstructing the multipath SI signals by deriving an optimal configuration of multiple weights. A new adaptive optimization algorithm called Variable Step Approaching (VSA) algorithm is derived for constructing multi-taps RF cancellers by improving both RF cancellation performance and convergence speed with low computational complexity. Specifically, an architecture of multi-taps RF canceller employing a new algorithm is presented and evaluated. Finally, experiment results validate the proposed algorithm.
