Abstract

A new model for spatially non-symmetric distributed sources and parameter estimation algorithm is proposed. It divides practical spatial distribution into several successive phases, which is depicted with different continuum distribution functions to angular signal density of coherent distributed (CD) sources and angular power density of un-correlative distributed (UD) sources. The non-symmetric distribution practical scenario could be responded effectively with the new model. Estimation algorithm DSPE is extended to the new model for spatially non-symmetric distributed sources. Simulation has been done to compare the new model with symmetric distribution Gaussian model to CD and UD sources. The results have verified the effectiveness of the proposed model and robustness of the estimation algorithm.
