Abstract

According to the sparse characteristic of the PPM modulated signal, this paper proposes a coding method making use of a low density matrix, and decoding with maximum a posteriori probability rule. Compared with the regular LDPC, the proposed method has better error correction ability and decoding speed when using hard or soft decisions.
