Abstract

Electronic safety and arming system is the most advanced safety and arming system of fuze. And it has been widely used in many various kinds of missiles. Owing to the continuous breakthroughs in FPGA technology for decades, the performance of FPGA products becomes much better. This gives birth to a novel realization of electronic safety and arming system. In this paper, such a system based on FPGA technology is proposed. Two concrete environmental signals are selected, which serve as two different stimuli. One is the acceleration signal generated by the rocket engine, another one is the guidance information generated by the guidance cabin during the flying process. The methods identifying the two signals conclude setting the threshold and the time window. Working process of this system is explained in great details. By using the software Modelsim, simulation and the corresponding analysis have been done, which proves the feasibility and validity of the system.
