Abstract

A current-fed DC-DC converter is proposed for the fuel cells, which is suitable for the wide voltage conversion gain application. With the proposed control strategy, wide ZVS range can be achieved. Furthermore, there is no input current ripple in this way, which is beneficial for the fuel cells. The typical working mode of the proposed converter is given. The ZVS conditions for every switch are discussed in detail in this paper. The parameters design basing on the ZVS condition is also demonstrated. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by the simulation and experimental results of an 800W prototype.
