Abstract

3-hydrazino-4-amino-1,2,4-triazole nitrate((HATr)·(NO3)2)was synthesized by acylation and dehydration with triaminoguanidine nitrate(TAGN)and formic acid as raw materials. The title compound was characterized by elemental analysis, FT-IR, NMR and X-ray single crystal diffraction. Thermal decomposition properties of the(HATr)·(NO3)2 were analyzed by using TG-DSC technology and its detonation performances was estimated by Gaussian 09 program and EXPLO5 software. The impact and friction sensitivities of the title compound were determinded by using BAM equipments. The results showed that the optimal synthesis conditions were: formic acid mass fraction 45%, reaction temperature 110℃, and reaction time 2h, the yield can reach to 92.92% and the product is white crystal. The thermal decomposition temperature of the title compound ranged from 156℃ to 270℃. The theoretical detonation velocity and detonation pressure are 7978m/s and 28.3GPa respectively. The impact sensitivity is greater than 40J, and the friction sensitivity is 360N, both lower than that of TNT and RDX.
