Abstract

Installing a 2-shifts or 3-shifts gearbox on electric vehicle is one way to enhance the vehicle's onboard energy utility. However, the existence of the electric vehicle transmission system may cause torque fluctuation. In order to ensure the smoothness during the operation, a novel nonlinear dynamic model of 2-shifts helical gear AMT works in shift I status is established. This model has abilities to investigate the vibration coupling mechanism between the meshed gears. The results show proposed model can accurately reflect the coupling relationship of the system.
