Abstract

In order to reduce contact friction and its influence on shaft vibration, a new type of composite water lubricated bearing with permanent magnet supporting force is designed based on magnetic bearing technology, and its tribological and dynamic performances are analyzed. It is found that the design can effectively improve the lubrication state of the bearing. The minimum liquid film pressure increases by 79.6% and the maximum liquid film pressure is reduced by 75.7%. At the same time, the stability of the stern shaft is still far greater than its threshold of 0.02, and the value is between 1 and 8. This design provides a new idea for vibration control of ship shafting in the future.
