Abstract
The emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOC) from indoor furniture significantly affect the air quality. The emission behaviors of VOC from furniture can be characterized by the initial emittable concentration C0, the diffusion coefficient Dm and the partition coefficient K. Therefore, determination of the three key parameters is the basis to explore the emission mechanism. In addition, environmental factors also take effect. In this study, panel furniture is selected, and a two-layer numerical model is developed. Then, a multi-parameter regression method is proposed to determine the three key parameters, and the key parameters of typical VOC are obtained by performing experiments. Moreover, the influence of temperature on the emission process is analyzed. Results indicate that, with the increase of temperature, Dm increases, K decreases, and C0 shows non-monotonic change.
