Abstract

Here, to reduce weight of missile launch system and cost of missile launch, a flexible airbag ejection system was studied to realize doing work on missile. The working mechanism and ejection performance of flexible airbag ejection system were studied by using a combined method of theoretical analysis, test verification and numerical calculation. The results showed that the results of calculating deployment process of flexible airbag using the particle method agree better with the test measurement results and the error is no more than 1.04% to verify the correctness of the particle method for calculating deployment of flexible airbag; ejection performance of flexible airbag ejection system is related to factors of type of ejection medium, temperature, action distance and action area of flexible airbag. In studying ejection working medium and structural parameters of flexible airbag, it was shown that the smaller the Mohr mass of ejection working medium and the higher the temperature, the better the ejection performance of flexible airbag ejection system; when the action area is the same, the larger the aspect ratio of flexible airbag, the better the ejection performance of flexible airbag ejection system; when the action distance is the same, the smaller the aspect ratio of flexible airbag, the better the ejection performance of flexible airbag ejection system and the larger the kinetic energy obtained by missile.
