Personal Introduction: Zhang Xudong, Associate Professor and doctoral supervisor, Deputy Director, National Engineering Research Center for Electric Vehicles, School of Machinery and Vehicle, Beijing Institute of Technology. In 2017, he received his doctorate degree in mechanical engineering from Technische Universitat Berlin, Germany. In the same year, he joined the National Engineering Research Center for Electric Vehicles of Beijing Institute of Technology. He is mainly engaged in the research on the power and drive system control theory and technology of electric transmission vehicles, including the environment perception and decision of unmanned vehicles, and the chassis dynamics control of distributed drive vehicles. Has undertaken nearly 10 national and provincial vertical scientific research projects, including the National Nature Foundation Youth Fund, Youth Lift National Talent Project, Beijing Nature Fund, etc., with the project deputy chief division, sub-system chief division to undertake the Army equipment Department high-tech engineering and the military Commission Science and Technology Commission projects. Served as technical certification expert of Automobile Recall Center of the State Administration for Market Regulation, standing Committee member of CCF Smart Car Branch, and academic editor of Automotive Innovation. As a reviewer for nearly 10 top and important journals in this field, such as IEEE Transactions on Vehicular Technology and IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics. In the past 5 years, he has published more than 20 SCI papers as the first/corresponding author, published 1 English academic monograph, authorized more than 30 invention patents, and won 2 provincial and ministerial science and technology awards for related achievements. In terms of talent training, he has presided over 2 education reform projects of the Ministry of Education and Beijing Municipality, a number of school-level education reform projects, won 1 second prize of teaching achievements of Beijing Institute of Technology, and guided students to win 4 national and provincial innovation and entrepreneurship awards.
