Pei Mingtao is a professor and doctoral supervisor at the School of Computer Science, Beijing Institute of Technology. He received his PhD in engineering from the School of Computer Science, Beijing Institute of Technology in 2004 and was a visiting scholar at the University of California, Los Angeles from 2009 to 2011. He is a member of the Chinese Computer Society, a member of the Computer Vision Committee of the Chinese Computer Society, a member of the Universal Computing Committee of the Chinese Computer Society, and a member of the Multimedia committee of the Chinese Image and Graphics Society. His current research interests are computer vision and pattern recognition. He has published more than 60 academic papers on international top conferences such as IEEE TIP, TMM, IEEE TITS, CVIU and ICCV, AAAI, IJCAI, etc. He has won 8 national invention patents.
