摘要

A C₃-symmetric tris(bisurea) ligand L assembles with PO ₄^3- ions to form the tetrahedral cage [(PO ₄)₄L₄]^12-. The PO₄ ^3- ions form the four vertices and each forms 12 N-H⋯O hydrogen bonds with 6 urea groups. A unique trinuclear pinwheel-like helical complex [(SO₄)₃L₂]^6- is formed from L and SO₄^2- ions (see picture).
