摘要
The visibility distance is a major parameter in analysis and design of opto-electronic imaging system. The atmospheric attenuation of scene contrast was studied here theoretically on the basis of radiometric principles, and the relationships between the measured maximal detection range for a target and the visibility distance under two possible conditions were obtained. By utilizing these relationships, the effects of measurement deviations in visibility distance on the design and analysis may be avoided or minimized.
