Technology innovation stratagem research of technology-based small- and medium-sized enterprises

At present, technology-based small- and medium-sized enterprises (technology-based SMEs) have become vital part in the national economy, which are full of vigor and vitality. But their insufficient technological innovation capabilities seriously impede their own development. To solve the problem, 150 technology-based SMEs in China are investigated and expert consulting method is adopted to analyze and summarize the information obtained from investigations. The results indicate that according to technology-based SMEs' own characteristics and long-term development, technology-based SMEs should select the leading-innovation stratagem or following-innovation stratagem and cultivate critical competitive power, so that they can become better. At the same time, technology-based SMEs should attach importance to their cooperation with large enterprises. Accordingly, the course of technology innovation can be accelerated and the sustained, swift and sound development of Chinese national economy can be promoted.
