摘要

High-entropy MXenes are emerging as a new research hotspot. Optimizing the microwave response and the electromagnetic properties of high-entropy MXenes is critical for advancing this field. In this perspective, four key characteristics of high-entropy MXenes are analyzed based on the recent advances in microwave absorption research. A comparative assessment of the microwave absorption performances between high-entropy MXene and magnetic high-entropy MXene composites is provided, and the microwave response mechanism of high-entropy MXenes is sorted out. The effect of material genes on the microwave absorption performance of high-entropy MXene composites is emphasized. The material gene strategy for manipulating the microwave absorption performance of high-entropy MXene composites is revealed. Finally, the development bottlenecks of high-entropy MXenes are analyzed, and the development of high-entropy MXenes is predicted. The concept of material genes holds promise for accelerating the design and functional upgrade of high-entropy MXene composites.
