摘要
This article presents the synthesis and experimental investigation of two novel furan-based Heteroquaterphenoquinone small-molecule diradicals, utilizing furan as a conjugation-extending building block. All synthesized compounds exhibit strong EPR signals, confirming their diradical character. Extension with furan units results in a pronounced red shift in UV-Vis absorption, leading to near-infrared (NIR) absorption. These findings underscore the potential of furan-based Heteroquaterphenoquinones as promising candidates for organic optoelectronic applications and contribute new materials to the field.
