摘要
To understand the phenomenon of the explosion between molten aluminum and coolant water, a measuring system was developed to investigate the shock wave effects. The peak overpressures and velocities of the shock wave at the different distances from the explosion center were measured by a digital pressure recorder. The peak overpressures of the shock wave at the same distances from the explosion center were calculated for the equivalent mass of TNT based on an empirical formula about the TNT equivalent method. And the calculated overpressures were compared with the measured ones to analyze the shockwave effects produced by the explosion between molten aluminum and coolant water different from those produced by the explosion of the TNT condensed explosives. The investigated results are helpful for revealing the mechanism.
