abstract = "Sulfur hexafluoride (SF6) gas as an excellent insulating gas has been widely used in large power equipment. The detection of SF6 gas in large-scale power equipment has always been a necessary measure to ensure the safe operation of power system. Photoacoustic spectroscopy (PAS) has been widely used in the field of gas detection because of its outstanding advantages such as large dynamic range, high sensitivity and good selectivity. Based on the analysis of the decomposition characteristics of insulating gas SF6 in power equipment under high temperature or shock conditions and the study of several common SF6 gas monitoring methods, this paper proposes a SF6 monitoring scheme based on photoacoustic spectroscopy. The monitoring errors are measured by experiments to verify the reliability of the proposed SF6 monitoring system based on photoacoustic spectroscopy.",
