N2 - In order to accumulate, store and represent knowledge and experience in product design process, the concept of business ontology was put forward. Through close association between knowledge and product design process by business ontology, knowledge which originated froms design process and served design process was realized. In order to support sharing and reuse of design knowledge, knowledge representation method based on business ontology was provided respectively from static and dynamic perspectives. The method enriched semantic information of knowledge and improved knowledge search efficiency. Finally the feasibility and effectiveness of the method were proved by example of military vehicle knowledge management system.
