Plateau performance simulation and field tests of turbocharged diesel engine

A simulation program was developed to predict the plateau performance of turbocharged diesel engines. This program contains the following modules: Simplified in-cylinder cycle calculation module, intake and exhaust process calculation modules, turbocharging system calculation module, and so on. The simulated results of three turbocharged diesel engines were worked out by using this program and test results were obtained at three altitudes by carrying out filed tests. The plateau performance simulation results were found to be in reasonable agreement with the test results.
